“Savannah Miller has revealed that she’s happy to step out of her sister Sienna’s shadow. Speaking at the launch of her eponymous label Savannah last night in London – an intimate party providing the backdrop – the designer revealed: “I’ve been hiding behind my sister for long enough. Hermes sees no slowdown anywhere

“French luxury goods group Hermes has seen no sign of weakness in demand, even in Asia, unlike peers who have highlighted flagging demand. Chief executive Patrick Thomas said trading remained strong in South Korea, Taiwan and also in China where other luxury brands such as Burberry, LVMH’s Louis Vuitton and PPR’s Gucci have posted slowing sales growth.” (Reuters)

New Vionnet Owner Takes Full Control of Brand

“Creative Director and chair of Vionnet, Goga Ashkenazi, has taken full control of the French brand. The British-based businesswoman bought the company in May, becoming the majority stakeholder, but has now purchased the remaining shares from former owners Matteo Marzotto and Gianni Castiglioni – Marni’s CEO – and their associates. Burberry opens in Hong Kong its largest store in Asia-Pacific

“British luxury group Burberry inaugurated this week in Hong Kong at Pacific Place Mall, its largest store in Asia Pacific. The 18th Burberry store in Hong Kong covers 2.000 sqm on two levels and features all the apparel and accessories lines of the house, including the latest watch launch.” (CPP)
